Owner
Scott grew up in Ancaster and graduated from Ancaster High School. Scott first completed a two-year business program at Niagara College and was on the Presidents list for obtaining the highest marks. In 2003 Scott entered the family business and completed his apprenticeship at Mohawk College. He received the “Top Automotive Service Technician Advanced Student” award upon completion of his apprenticeship. Soon after, he became a certified Automotive Service Technician. In 2007, Scott moved into the office and started to help manage the business. In 2019 Scott purchased his family business, ensuring the legacy of Eccles Auto Service’s quality workmanship and customer service continues for many years to come. In 2023 Scott was a recipient of the 2023 Mohawk College Alumni of Distinction Award.
Founder
Bruce opened Eccles Auto Service in 1984 with a commitment to providing exceptional automotive service. Bruce is definitely a people person. He always enjoys talking and meeting with clients, new and old. He is an active member of the Dundas Valley Sunrise Rotary Club and was awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship Award in 2005. Bruce also worked on a focus group created by the Ontario Government to assist in the implementation of the Drive Clean program and has sat on many automotive advisory boards, including ACDelco and AARO. Bruce is well recognized and respected in the automotive industry and even writes a column in a national trade magazine.
Bruce is now semi-retired but is often spotted at the shop still. When Bruce is not working, he enjoys spending his free time in cottage country or in Florida. Bruce and his wife have three children and now three grandchildren!
Senior Service Advisor
Anne grew up in Dundas and graduated from Parkside High School. She started working for Eccles Auto Service in 1990. She uses her 30 years of experience to help give our clients the best service possible. Anne enjoys talking and getting to know our clients. She has three children and five grandchildren she is very proud of. Anne has developed a love for the game of golf and can be seen doing the par dance on many local golf courses.
Service Advisor / General Manager
Jim was born and raised in Westdale. He graduated from Westdale High School. He started his career at City Chevrolet in downtown Hamilton and is a GM ASEP certified technician. In 2010, Jim started down a new career path joining the Eccles Auto Service team as a Service Advisor. He brings his wealth of knowledge and experience for all vehicles under the GM banner with him.
Jim enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 children. When not working he is playing hardball, hockey, golf or spending time relaxing at his cottage.
Lead Service Technician
Matt grew up in Ancaster and graduated from Ancaster High School. He went to Mohawk College for his apprenticeship and is a certified Automotive Service Technician. Matt joined the staff at Uptown Eccles Auto Service in 2010. He continues to add to his automotive skills by going to training sessions throughout the year. Matt is a well-respected Lead Service Technician and has been nominated for multiple Readers’ Choice Awards and won the Platinum Award for Best Mechanic in 2023.
Matt spends his time off with his wife and 2 dogs. He enjoys playing golf and watching NASCAR.
Senior Service Technician
Brad is from the west mountain of Hamilton. Graduated from Sir Allan Secondary and attended Mohawk College for his automotive schooling. Becoming a fully licensed automotive service technician in 2009.
Brad is a true car nut! And eats, sleeps, and breathes cars. You find more often than not watching a car show on the tv, fixing something, or watching football and/or hockey. And spending time with his wife and 2 daughters.
He continues to update his mechanical skills and learn about new technology.
Apprentice
Charlotte grew up in Hamilton and graduated from Sherwood Secondary School.
She then attended Mohawk College for Motive Power, which she graduated in 2020. Soon after she began her apprenticeship in the automotive repair field. Charlotte joined our team in early 2022.
Apprentice
Chis grew up in Dundas and graduated from Dundas Valley Secondary School. Chris has had many roles within Eccles Auto Service already. He did his high school Co-op with us and cleaned the shop floors while attending high school. After working in other fields for a few years Chris came back to help us with tire season. We signed him up as an apprentice in 2020.
Chris loves dogs and in his free time enjoys playing hockey.
Administration
Claire grew up in Dundas and graduated from Parkside High School. After that she attended Sheridan College. Claire and Bruce started the business together in 1984, where she has done the bookkeeping and other administrative tasks that help keep the business running.
Claire puts great value on family and her friends. She is very active and always on the move. You can catch her going for walks, playing golf or frisbee golf. Claire enjoys spending her free time with her 3 grandchildren.
Apprentice
Cam was born and raised on the central mountain. He graduated from Sir Allan Macnab secondary school. After trying a few different trades and career paths, including plumbing like his Dad. Cam settled in automotive. Cam signed up for my apprenticeship in 2020 and continuing to work towards his License. In his free time he plays and records music with his band and he loves spending time with his dog
